Posted on July 10, 2018 AnJ

Could you please introduce yourself?
I’m Chen Zhang. But you can also call me Lola I’m 23 years old. and I’m from China. But as of the moment I live in The Philippines as a student

Why did you choose the Philippines to study the English Language?
The reason why I chose to study in the Philippines is that of the English skills and knowledge of Filipino is better than other Asian countries. Another reason is that English Schools and Academies were established longer which means experiences and standards of teacher are high as well; other reasons also include the distance and cost.

What do you think about Baguio City as the Summer Capital of the Philippines?
When the word “Baguio City” is translated in English it becomes (Bi-Yao) which means green and clean. This gives me an image of a beautiful City. Which actually fits the City. I like the Baguio of its temperature. I don’t also like summer or winter. Another thing is the safety of the City. There are many students here. So it’s not difficult for us to adopt or adjust to the environment. The only problem for me is the route going to Baguio and out because the zigzag road makes me feel dizzy, nauseous and tired easily.

Why did you choose this English Academy?
One thing that makes me choose this academy is the cost. I received a big discount and I think this is very beneficial for students like me. At first, I was worried about the quality of education that I’ll get but after having classes; I felt satisfied with the way my teachers manages the classes.

What do you usually do on the weekends?
I usually go to restaurants with friends and share meals with them. Sometimes we also have some conversation in cafes or other places in Baguio. I also like watching movies in my room because there are times when the weather in Baguio is not that good. I don’t have many friends but I have from different countries. I don’t have a favorite place in particular. There are many places to visit in Baguio. especially restaurants. I love food so I usually go to different restaurants with my friends to try different delicacies that we could find.

Where is your favorite place to hang out in Baguio?
I think I’m not an outgoing person. I’m not that active so usually, I prefer taking a rest instead of going out and doing some sports or activities with others. But of course, I still enjoy spending time with my friends.

Could you tell me about your plans after graduation from A&J Academy?
I’m going to take a break. My sister and I are planning to go on a trip because my sister just graduated from High school. I think it would be a night for us to spend some time together before she goes to school and I go back to work.

One last Question, do you have comments /suggestions for new students who want to study in A&J.
I will recommend new students to at-least study the basics before going here or another country to study. It would make it easier for both the students and the teachers.
