About this course

A gentle first step into English for our youngest learners. This course familiarizes students with phonetics, basic vocabulary, simple sentence structures, and social interactions, helping them answer simple questions in complete sentences. Lessons cover letters, numbers, days, months, yes/no questions, and common nouns such as animals and jobs, with plenty of speaking practice. Through discussions, Q&A, expressing their own ideas, and interactive exercises, students actively engage with the language using Junior ESL books and a variety of fun, effective teaching resources.

Common questions about this course

Answers taken from this course's timetable and from our main FAQ.

How many classes will I have each day?+
On a normal study day you have 3 one-on-one classes, which means just you and one teacher. There are no group classes on this course, so all of your class time is one-on-one.
Is the evening class required?+
No. The evening session is optional on this course, so you can take it on the days you want it and rest on the others. It is the ECA and EAA session, and there is a longer write-up on what the ECA and EAA activities involve.
How often will I be tested?+
Mock tests: Monthly. These are full practice exams under real conditions, so you know where you stand before test day instead of hoping.
Can I join as a complete beginner?+
Yes. On your first day you take a level test covering speaking, listening, reading, and writing, and your classes are matched to your exact level. Because the lessons are one-on-one, the pace is always yours, so beginners settle in quickly.
How is this different from your other courses?+
The class mix is the main difference: how many one-on-one classes you get, whether group classes are included, and whether the evening class and the tests are required. You can see every course side by side on the course comparison page.
