‘My first weeks in A&J Academy.’

Hello everyone! I am Teruki Inoue and I am from Japan. And here is my experience studying in A&J for the past couple of weeks.

I’m glad I chose this school. It feels very homey because teachers and students are close and friendly. Also, I feel that there is a lot of interaction between students because the number of students is small. I enjoy talking with students of various nationalities. On the weekends, I, sometimes, meet with my teachers. Because of this, I can practice and learn a lot outside the academy.

A&J is located in Baguio. It is a very pleasant place to live in, and the people are calm and nice. As expected, I think that it is called ‘Karuizawa’ in the Philippines. Baguio is a cool place. Personally, I don’t like the heat, so I chose Baguio instead of other major cities for studying English.I think there are many attractions in Baguio City, and if you drive a little, you can go swimming on the beach. I know I haven’t explored the entire city but I’ve been having a lot of fun this past week. I would like to have various experiences in the future.

After spending a week at A&J, I have two thoughts.

The first is that speaking in English is a lot of fun. By simply speaking English, you can communicate with many people. Even Japanese people have different opinions, and I think it’s interesting to talk with people from other countries because the cultures are different. When you cross the ocean, everything feels interesting because all cultures are different. There are various lifestyles, foods, religions, ways of thinking, etc., and I feel that they are all different. Sometimes, I think Japan is better, and sometimes I think a foreign country is better. There are many things that make you think by experiencing and learning various things. For example, the most interesting thing is that in the Philippines people don’t flush tissue down the toilet. This is because the water pressure is weak and clogs easily. It surprised me at first, but I got used to it.Japan may be richer economically. However, many Filipinos seem to have a lot of fun. I am very envious of them because they are rich in happiness and joy. When I was in Japan, I felt a rush of life, but I don’t feel that from Filipinos. I think we can live more comfortably.I think I was able to feel that way. Thanks to A&J,  I was able to meet the teachers who were close to the students and who were kind to me, and I was able to feel good in a short period of time.

If you are unsure, let’s learn together at A&J where you can actually feel the Philippines from Japan. In my case, I didn’t study enough in advance, so I think I can enjoy it even more.

If you want to participate in conversations and experience various things, you need to study. So, I will do my best. If you want to increase your exposure to English as much as possible, I recommend choosing A&J.
